This is the product that does most of the work in a chlorine pool. Regal Elite Chlor 3-inch tablets contain 90% available chlorine and dissolve slowly, maintaining a stable sanitizer level for several days without any intervention. Add them and forget about them until the next refill.
This 90% concentration is the highest available on the residential market. A more concentrated tablet means fewer tablets to buy and less inert material circulating in your water.
Why choose Elite Chlor Pucks?
-
90% available chlorine, the highest concentration available in a residential tablet.
-
Slow dissolving: a consistent chlorine level for several days, without the dips and spikes of manual treatment.
-
3-inch size, designed for standard skimmers, floaters, and automatic feeders.
-
Stabilized: the tablets contain their own protection against UV rays.
-
Four sizes: from 1 kg for a quick top-up to 18 kg for the whole season, with a significantly lower cost per kilogram in the larger sizes.
Why Regal is our premium line
At Piscines Geyser, Regal is our premium line for water treatment. These are formulas intended for the specialty retailer network, which means consistent quality from batch to batch, products that deliver on their promises the first time, and predictable results you can build a maintenance program around.
This is the line we recommend to pool owners who want the best for their water and for the equipment it passes through: the heater, salt system, liner, and surfaces.
How do you use them?
-
Balance the water first: alkalinity of 80 to 120 ppm, pH of 7.2 to 7.6. Properly dosed chlorine in unbalanced water only works half as well.
- Place the number of tablets indicated on the label in a floating or automatic feeder, based on your pool's volume.
- Aim for free chlorine of 1 to 3 ppm and test two or three times a week.
-
Adjust the feeder flow rather than adding tablets: that's what keeps the level stable.
- Have your stabilizer (CYA) tested a few times per season.
⚠️ Safety warning
Never mix two chlorine products together. Mixing trichlor tablets with calcium hypochlorite shock—even residue in a container or an inadequately rinsed feeder—can cause a fire or the release of toxic gas. Use a separate feeder for each product, and never put tablets in the skimmer if they could come into contact with another treatment. Store containers separately in a dry place.
What to watch over time
Stabilized tablets add stabilizer (CYA) along with chlorine. This is an advantage at the start of the season, since it protects your chlorine from the sun with no extra effort. But stabilizer is neither consumed nor evaporated: it builds up. Above around 100 ppm of CYA, chlorine becomes significantly less effective, and the only fix is to dilute the water. Have your stabilizer tested two or three times per season, especially if you use tablets continuously.

A little Geyser extra 💧
If you use tablets all season, have your stabilizer tested at least twice. It's the parameter that tablets raise without you realizing it, and it's the number one reason pools turn green despite showing a proper chlorine level on the test. Testing is free in store in Blainville.
Frequently asked questions
How many tablets should I use?
It depends on the water volume and temperature. Follow the dosage on the label, then adjust to maintain free chlorine of 1 to 3 ppm.
Can I put the tablets in the skimmer?
You can, but a floating or automatic feeder is preferable. In the skimmer, highly chlorinated water flows directly through the pump and heater when filtration stops, accelerating wear on the components.
Why does my pH drop when I use tablets?
Trichlor tablets are naturally acidic. This is normal, which is why they're often paired with pH Plus and properly maintained alkalinity.
How does the 1-inch size differ?
The 3-inch tablet dissolves more slowly and is suitable for standard-sized pools. The 1-inch size is suited to smaller volumes and small-capacity feeders.
Which size should I buy?
The 7 kg or 18 kg size if you use tablets for chlorination all season, because the cost per kilogram is much lower. The 1 kg or 2 kg size for a quick top-up or a small pool.
