In brief: Pentair iChlor 30 salt chlorine generator, cell and PC100 power center bundle. Treats up to 30,000 US gallons (113,562 L) and produces 1.0 lb (0.45 kg) of chlorine per 24 hours. Features SmartSense flow detection, digital display, and built-in sensors. Pentair part number 523081.
The iChlor series model for standard inground pools
Most residential inground pools in Quebec range between 15,000 and 25,000 gallons. The iChlor 30, sized for 30,000 gallons, leaves a comfortable production margin.
This margin is not a luxury. A salt generator that must run at full production all season to maintain chlorine levels wears out its cell faster and has no reserve capacity during heatwaves or periods of high usage. A slightly oversized model runs at partial capacity and lasts longer.
The 523081 bundle includes the cell and the PC100 power center, the same one used for IntelliChlor IC20, IC40, and IC60 cells.

Frequently asked questions
What pool size is the iChlor 30 for?
Up to 30,000 US gallons according to Pentair. For a typical 18,000 to 24,000 gallon inground pool, it operates at partial capacity, which extends the life of the cell.
Is the power center the same as the one for IntelliChlor?
Yes for the PC100: Pentair documents that the iChlor 30 and the IntelliChlor IC20, IC40, and IC60 cells use the same power center, the 520556 (520910 in the Canadian version). The cells themselves are not interchangeable between the two families.
What happens when the water drops below 11 °C?
The unit stops producing to protect the cell. This is normal behavior. At the beginning and end of the season, plan to supplement with chlorine.
How accurate is the salt reading?
Two integrated probes, with an accuracy of ± 300 ppm according to Pentair. For fine-tuning, have the water analyzed rather than relying solely on the display.
How long does the cell last?
Approximately 10,000 hours, or about five seasons. The replacement cell is part number 523009.
