Is your salt system showing a constant flow fault?
The flow switch is the safety device that prevents the cell from producing chlorine when water is not circulating. Without it, a salt system could generate chlorine gas in a stagnant pipe.
When this sensor fails, the system refuses to produce even with the pump running. This is the fail-safe mode, but it stops chlorination.
On Pentair cells, this sensor is combined: it measures both water flow and temperature. It is also what triggers the shutdown below 52°F.
Be careful with the correct part number
The 520736 is the replacement kit for IntelliChlor systems. The equivalent part for iChlor systems has a different number, 523100. The two are not interchangeable.
Check the brand name on your cell before ordering: IntelliChlor and iChlor are two distinct product lines.

First, check the actual flow: pump and skimmer baskets clean, filter backwashed, valves open. If the flow is clearly good and the fault persists, the sensor is the cause.
