Which pump should I choose with the S244T?
For a standard in-ground pool, opt for a Hayward Super Pump® VS 1.85 HP (W3SP2603VSP) or MaxFlo VS — optimal flow and energy savings.
How much sand is required?
300 lb of No. 20 silica filter sand (six 50 lb bags). ZeoSand or AFM requires about 30% less. (Not included)
Is the S244T suitable for an above-ground pool?
It is designed for in-ground pools. For above-ground, the S210T (21 in) or S180T (18 in) is better suited.
What is the difference between S244T and S244TC?
No technical difference. The suffix "C" denotes Canadian packaging — the product is identical.
How long does a Hayward ProSeries filter last?
The thermoplastic tank has a 3-year warranty and typically lasts 15+ years under normal usage conditions.
Is the VariFlo® valve replaceable?
Yes — the SP0714T 1½" FIP valve is easily replaceable; parts are available at Piscines Geyser.
